the front desk wasn't helpful. The location was decent, but that’s where the positives stopped. The room was dirty, with hair everywhere and stains on the linens. The noise from above sounded like a stampede, making sleep impossible. Breakfast didn't impress, either; the coffee was undrinkable, and the area was unkempt. A friendly front desk employee made a brief appearance, but the overall experience left much to be desired. It felt less like a retreat and more like a bad episode of a reality show.

The bed was comfy enough for an overnight stay, and I appreciated the decent shower. the carpet was quite dirty, and I noticed hair all over the bathroom, which was off-putting. Though the air conditioning worked well, the noise from the elevator was distracting. I encountered several cleanliness issues, including stained linens and remnants from previous guests. The continental breakfast had limited options, primarily waffles. An upgrade to a suite was reasonably priced, but the overall room condition needs significant improvement for a better experience.

I loved how welcoming the staff was, especially Crystal at the front desk. The beds were so comfortable; I didn't want to leave! And the 24-hour pool was the perfect way to unwind after a long day of travel.

Staff excellence cannot be overstated. Bekah, Tammy, Mike, and Tre provide exceptional service, going the extra mile to make guests feel at home. The lobby is inviting, beautifully decorated, and always smells wonderful. cleanliness needs attention. The carpets show stains, and I encountered hair in the bathroom. Maintenance issues—like a faulty hairdryer and a broken elevator—were concerning. The breakfast was lacking variety; limited options dampened the experience. A more thorough room cleaning and regular maintenance would greatly enhance the stay. Despite these issues, the warmth of the staff left a positive impression. They can salvage the experience if the facility aligns with their outstanding service. Keep striving for excellence.

The room we stayed in at Microtel was a bit disappointing in terms of amenities. There was no refrigerator or microwave, which was a bit inconvenient. We did have access to a communal microwave, but it would have been more convenient to have one in the room. The shower drain was also a bit of a problem as it couldn't handle the water flow, causing the bathroom floor to flood. The bed we requested was supposed to be a queen size but seemed more like a full size, making it a tight fit for two adults. the room was clean, which was a major plus. The breakfast included was decent, though it would have been nice to have more variety besides just cereal, bagels, and coffee. The DIY waffle station was a fun touch. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, which made our stay more pleasant. We also enjoyed the heated indoor pool, despite it needing a thorough cleaning. while there were some positives to our stay at Microtel, there were definitely areas that could use improvement, particularly in terms of room amenities and cleanliness. It was an average experience, but with some tweaks, it could be a more comfortable stay.

Staying here was great because it was an easy stroll to several wonderful parks like Babe Ruth Park just over 2 km away and New River Park around 3.5 km away which made my weekend walks enjoyable exploring the area and soaking in the local vibes even the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine and Youth Museum is only about 4 km away for a fun afternoon visit and the friendly staff were more than willing to help with any questions but the room was a bit small and lacked a fridge or microwave which would have been nice.

I had a really rough stay. The room was dirty, with stained furniture and an overall neglected vibe. It felt like no one cared—had to buy my own pillows, and they didn’t even bring basic supplies like towels. Super disappointing!

The room was unexpectedly upgraded to a suite with a kitchenette, offering a large and well, laid, out space. The hot shower had fantastic pressure, making the stay more comfortable. The staff was pet, friendly and accommodating, providing a positive experience.
The cleanliness of the common areas, particularly the elevators, left something to be desired. Multiple issues were reported, such as broken locks, uncomfortable beds, and a lackluster free breakfast.

During our romantic escape, we loved how the room was always clean, and the staff was friendly, ensuring we had fresh towels daily. The hotel’s location was convenient, close to restaurants and shops, perfect for exploring the area during our stay.

We hit up Burning Rock for some sick ATV trails and white water rafting, then caught a BYU Cougars game. The hotel was chill, staff was cool, and the room comfy.
More late-night activities like a bonfire pit or rooftop hangout would've been epic! .

Clean and quite location. The pool looks nice. We were disappointed to find our room hadn't been thoroughly cleaned, and the bathroom flooded every time we used the shower. I'll recommend this hotel.

we stopped for the night during a 2-day road trip. it’s budget friendly and was tidy. didn’t feel “deep cleaned” and the front desk cleaned and disinfected the remote right away. they were pet friendly for a reasonable fee and we appreciated that so much!

Despite a few minor issues, our stay at this budget hotel was overall pleasant and satisfactory. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the property, with the rooms being well-maintained and cheery. The staff, although lacking in personality, were efficient and helpful whenever we needed assistance. The hotel's location, close to a highway and within walking distance of a Family Dollar, was convenient for our needs. The affordable price made it a great value for money, and the comfortable bed ensured a good night's sleep.
Our room had a few drawbacks. It was slightly outdated and in need of some upgrades.
